About Us
Victory Christian Academy is a private Christian school, preschool through twelfth grade.
Why do you have a Christian school?
To provide a Christ-centered education
To excel in academic standards
To develop high spiritual and moral standards
To protect young people from the pressures of the world
What are some of the goals for each student?
To build character into their lives so that they learn to do right by reflex
To help each student develop the academic skills necessary for life
To help each student come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ
To help each student learn to apply the Bible to their daily lives
To encourage each student to develop his God-given gifts and abilities so as to be used most effectively in service to Christ
What curriculum do you use?
Preschool through sixth grade we use A Beka, a triditional curriculum used in many Christian schools. The curriculum uses textbooks that stress academic achievement while including high moral and spiritual values. We use Rod and Staff curriculum for language and Bob Jones University Press for Bible class.
In grades seven through twelve we use the School of Tomorrow curriculum. This is a self-instructional mastery based system. This curriculum stresses individual academic achievement. Speech, Spanish and Bible are taught in a classroom setting. All material is presented in harmony with the Bible. Humanism, progressivism and situational ethics are refuted and replaced with the absolutes of right and wrong as found in God's Word. The spiritual growth and development of our young people is emphasized to assure that each student receives a well-balanced academic and spiritual education.
Do you have uniforms?
We do not have uniforms, but we do have a dress code that includes skirts for the girls and polo shirts (with collar) and trousers for the boys.
When does school start?
School starts in August and finishes before Memorial Day. The hours are 8am until 2:30pm Monday through Friday.
Do students attend Chapel services?
Students attend chapel each Friday, and they are required to memorize scripture each week. Character trophies are awarded each week to one student in each elementary class who exhibits specific character qualities.
Do you provide bus service?
The State of Minnesota provides bus transportation for all students, including private school students. The bussing is arranged through the Public School Transportation Office.
Do you have a sports program?
When students reach 7th grade, boys are able to participate in soccer and basketball. The girls compete in volleyball and basketball. We compete with Minnesota Association of Christian Schools (MACS) teams and other private schools. We also have a Bible Quiz team that competes during the winter months with other MACS schools.
