Table Tennis Tournament Held this Weekend | Sports & Recreation

 People from all over the country are at the University Center Rochester with their paddles in hand, to play table tennis.

It's part of the second annual America's Team Championships.

Over 100 people from all over the country are taking part, some even as far away as Califronia.

There are players from all ages. The youngest, a 7 year-old to players in their 60's. The tournament runs thorugh Sunday.

"The highest you can get in the United States for table tennis is five stars, but the five stars only serve to the U.S. Open and U.S. National so for other people that would like to run a tournament, four stars is the highest you can get and this is the highest we can get," says Kiswanto Thayib, President of the Rochester Table Tennis Club.

Over 7,500 dollars in cash and prizes will be given out.

The tournament runs through Sunday.
