Tour De Cure
Cyclists will have a chance to enjoy this weekend's weather and help find a cure for diabetes.
The American Diabetes Association is holding its annual Tour de Cure on Saturday, May 22. The races begin with the 51-mile ride at 8:00 a.m. It concludes with the 2.5-mile walk/ride at 10:30 a.m. All races begin and end at East Silver Lake Park in Rochester.
The ADA says 24 million people have diabetes. One in every three babies born today also are threatened by this illness.
Monies raised by the Tour de Cure support the ADA's mission for diabetes research, treatment, education, and advocacy.
