Couple Injured in House Explosion |

A house in Hartland has exploded this afternoon with one man severely injured.
First responders were called to the home on 660th Avenue in Hartland this afternoon. The caller, Patricia Yotter reported her husband, 75-year-old Ralph Yotter, was injured in the explosion.
He was flown by helicopter to North Memorial Hospital in the Twin Cities for treatment of burns on multiple areas of his body. His wife, Patricia who was also in the home, was transported by ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Albert Lea.
The cause of the explosion has not been determined. An investigation is being conducted by the Freeborn Fire department as well as with the State Fire Marshall's Office.
The Yotter's had recently sold their property and were not living at the residence at the time of the explosion.
