Higher Gas Prices |

Last month was one of the most expensive July's on record for gas prices, so far into the month of August, it doesn't look any better.
Gas has gone up twenty cents a gallon in the last two weeks. Tuesday morning at Casey's General store in Rochester, gas went from $3.65 to $3.75 a gallon for regular unleaded.
We spoke to several drivers who are unhappy with the increase. One driver even compared filling up his tank to getting a colonoscopy.
"I needed gas, I came over here, we're at seventy-five dollars now, it's going to go over a hundred to fill up this simple truck," says Derek Wodziak.
We did some digging and found gas stations across the area where you can save some money on regular unleaded.
In Austin, you can fill up at $3.77 a gallon at the Mileage on Oakland
In Rochester, we found $3.66 a gallon at the Sinclair on 6th street
In Albert Lea, its $3.69 a gallon at the BP in town.
And to our south in Mason City, its $3.44 a gallon at the Murphy on 4th Street.
AAA is reporting that through the month of August prices should remain steady and should fall after the Labor day holiday.
