A Litter Bit Better Poster Winners
A Litter Bit Better Poster Winners

For the fifth year RNeighbors challenged all fourth grade students in Rochester to draw a brightly colored picture that displays why it is important not to little and how you to make Rochester A Litter Bit Better! There were 101 entries from 7 schools (14 classrooms). With all of these fun and colorful entries it was a tough choice, but judges narrowed it down to one winner per school (who submitted entries) and one Grand Prize winner. The 2011-2012 grand prize winner is Raya Shafeeq from Bamber Vally. Her picture is shown.

School Winners Receive

  • A Litter Bit Better! T-shirt
  • Opportunity to be in the Rochesterfest parade
  • Signed letter of appreciation from the Rochester Mayor
  • Teacher of school winning class gets $100 gift certificate from Office Max

As the Grand Prize winner, Raya Shafeeq, from Mrs. Duff’s 4th grade class at Bamber Valley will receive all of the items listed above plus her artwork published on a “I will not litter” pledge form, her photo with Mayor Brede, and a pizza party for her entire Mrs. Duff’s class at Bamber Valley Elementary School.
