Rochester Looking for Private Funding for Fireworks | Arts & Culture

Rochester Mayor Ardell Brede has announced a proposal looking to raise private money for the city's annual 4th of July fireworks show. Brede is asking for contributions in any amount, but there are several specific categories.

$250 plus donations will be classified as rRed. $500 plus as White and $1,000 plus as Blue. Hence the name, Fireworks: Red, White & Blue Campaign.

However, a special Gold category is being created for contributions of $2,000 or more.

Contributions in any of the above categories will be acknowledged publicly, unless the donor wishes to remain anonymous.

They can be mailed to the Mayor's Office at 201 4th Street SE, Rochester, MN 55904-3782. Checks can be made out to "Mayor's Promotional Account."
