Voters in Olmsted County are one step closer to knowing where they'll vote this November.
Olmsted County Commissioners spent Tuesday morning discussing various options for redistricting.
They were presented with 17 options, and eventually went with number 15.
They're goal was to be fair to residents, but also keep convenience in mind.
"I think one of the challenges for counties compared to the other jurisdictions, whether it's cities or state legislators, we're at the end of the line so to speak. We have to work around all the ward and precinct lines and township lines. We’ve to go get that balanced because we represent all the issues,” County Commissioner Paul Wilson explains.
The redistricting option will be finalized at the county board's next meeting in May.
It will soon be posted on the county's website.
