Channel One Takes Over Local Race Event | Community Spirit

Channel One Food Bank and Food Shelf has taken over a popular race.  The Fetzer Memorial Run is now the Fetzer Run to End Hunger.  The 20K and 2-mile races will take place on Saturday, April 14th at Bamber Valley School in Rochester.  The 20K will begin at 9 a.m. and the 2-mile will begin approximately 15 minutes after that.  Both races start in front of Bamber Valley School, 2001 Bamber Valley Road SW, Rochester.  Over 100 runners of all ages and abilities are expected to help fight hunger. 

All proceeds from the race will benefit Channel One.  For every dollar donated Channel One can provide enough food for five meals.  As the demand for assistance continues to rise, every contribution makes a difference.
