Fundraiser Raises Money, Hope for Haiti Earthquake Victims | Community Spirit
Title (Max 100 Charaters)
Walk... run... or bike.
One Rochester church doesn't care which mode of transportation you use. It will all help raise money for earthquake victims in Haiti.
Crossroads Church is holding a Hope for Haiti fundraiser at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, April 9 at Gibbs Elementary School, 5525 56th Street NW.
Money raised at the event will go to developing a 30-acre community with affordable earthquake-and-hurricane safe shelter. Construction of the first home begins April 27th.
Individual registration for the 5K and 10K walks, 25K bike ride, or 5K and 10K runs along the Douglas Trail cost $30 per person or $50 per family. Free t-shirts are available for the first 200 registrations.
For more information, go to www.crosswindschurch.com. You can e-mail questions about the project to hope4haiti@charter.net. To watch the community take shape go to www.paulosgroup.org and join their facebook family.
