Nationally Acclaimed Christian Rock Band Fireflight to Appear in Kasson | Events

The Grammy nominated band Fireflight is on tour right now across the country and plans to have a show in Kasson, MN.  "The Stay Close Tour" is  sponsored by World Vision and will arrive on Saturday, April 28 at Community Celebration Church at 6:30pm.  The Grammy nominated Christian rock band Fireflight will appear with special guests 7eventh Time Down, Ashes Remain and An Epic, No Less. Right now Fireflight is ranked in the Top 10 on the rock charts and the other bands are listed in the Top 25 across the nation.

When Fireflight launched their debut album, "The Healing of Harms" in 2006 they produced two number one singles. Before their second album, "Unbreakable", was released a national TV network used its title track, the lead single, for prime time television promotions. Fireflight also won the Taco Bell's fan-voted "Best of the Beat" contest and then performed at ESPN's Winter X Games 13. Three Fireflight singles on the "Unbreakable" album also hit number one on the charts.  The music video has had more than one million plays on YouTube. The current CD called "NOW" was just released and hit #1 across the country with the hit single "Stay Close". Fireflight has seven #1 hits since 2006.

Fireflight's music encourages fans to move beyond their personal struggles and reach out to a world eager to know healing in the waiting. Learn while you wait, but love others in the process. This is the message Fireflight proclaims, whether singing on national television, appearing at Sonshine or anywhere across the country.

The concert is also about outreach to help others internationally and locally.  The tour is being sponsored by World Vision. They are a global outreach that helps feed starving kids, provide healthcare and education.  At the concert World Vision will have staff on-site to register folks interested in sponsoring a child.  A food drive will also be held for the Dodge County Food Shelf.
