Rochesterfest 2012 Button Unveiled | Events

It's getting to be that time of year again.

The time for Summer festivals like Rochesterfest.

This year marks the festival's 30th anniversary.

During Tuesday's opening ceremony, organizers unveiled the 2012 schedule of events and this year's button design.

"These things don't happen with just one or two people. You need a village virtually to do this. When you look down that list of all these people that are volunteering, some of them have done it many times. Others are new into the whole process,” Rochester Mayor Ardell Brede.

Rochesterfest buttons will cost you $5 this year.

It features Rochester's corn cob water tower and the slogan “Memories in the Making.”

The winning design was submitted by Rochester resident Blair Harrington.
