Growers Report Damage After Freeze

Local growers say they're starting to see some damage caused by freezing temperatures in the overnight hours this week.

Joe Gosi, owner of Preston Apple & Berry Farm says his apple trees are starting to blossom. He's seeing damage from the freezing temperatures.

"I've got Fireside bloomed out completely so I don't think those are good," said Gosi.

Owners of Four Daughters Vineyard & Winery in Spring Valley say they're concerned over how the weather could affect grape production in the fall. Their grapes started budding a month early and they've noticed some are already whittled.

Both places say it will be weeks before they know the full extent of the damage.
