Klobuchar Visits SE Minn. to Talk about Education, Jobs | Schools
Title (Max 100 Charaters)
Minnesota U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar visited the Lincoln K-8 School in Rochester today.
Klobuchar wanted to see the school's well know zebra-fish lab, but was also there to promote a new innovation and jobs bill.
She says one of the bills intents is to get more kids interested in science, technology, engineering and math. "The bill doubles the number of STEM high schools in our country and provides funding for that. because the only way we are going to be able to compete internationally is because of kids, like the ones in this school, that are interested at an early age in science, engineering, technology and math and that's what this is about," says Klobuchar.
The bill was introduced in the u.s. senate late last month.
